Brent T. Alford, MD, FAANS, FACS, is a highly skilled and accomplished Neurosurgeon at Fort Worth Brain & Spine Institute, where patients are treated like family.
Dr. Alford received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his residency at the Division of Neurosurgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
His residency focused on neuro-oncology, complex spine surgery, and epilepsy surgery. Dr. Alford specializes in the nonoperative and surgical treatment of disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. He provides comprehensive care for spinal disorders, from minimally invasive decompressions to extensive spinal reconstructions for deformity.
He also treats patients with neuro-oncology, epilepsy disorders, neuromodulation, and various other brain and spine disorders.
Dr. Alford believes in individualized care for each of his patients, and by taking adequate time to learn each person’s story, he can provide the very best care possible. Voted on by his medical peers, Dr. Alford has consistently been selected as a “Top Doc” in Neurosurgery by Fort Worth Magazine since its inception.
He was born and raised in Austin. He and his wife have three children. When he is not working, Dr. Alford enjoys hunting, fishing, sailing, and, most importantly, spending time with his family and attending his children’s extracurricular activities.
