Our History

Founded in 2002 by Thomas S. Ellis, MD, FACS with original Partners Dr Philip Bechtel, Dr Richard Hubbard, and Dr Andrea Halliday; Fort Worth Brain & Spine Institute, LLP is recognized as the Premier Destination for Neurosurgical Care in the DFW Metroplex, including North and West Texas. Over the past 2 decades FWBSI continues to grow and advance the State of the Art of Neurosurgical Care of the Brain and Spine.

FWBSI’s mission has always been to provide the pinnacle of Neurosurgical Care- both surgical and non-surgical to our patients, treating each and every patient as if they are members of our own personal family.

As one of only a handful of Independent Private Group Neurosurgery Practices in the State of Texas, we take pride in working Only for our Patients and not some hospital or “health care system.”

Our Current lineup of Neurosurgeons includes Dr Tom Ellis, Dr Brent Alford, Dr Ab Siadati, Dr Samir Lapsiwala, and Dr. Anthony Lee.
